In-House Counsel – Fund Administration

About the role

Citco is seeking an experienced In‑House Counsel to join its Fund Administration legal team. You will support the delivery of administration services to a range of alternative investment funds, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and risk standards across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Review fund documentation—including offering, subscription, constitutive and material agreements—to ensure accurate disclosures and compliance with Citco’s legal, compliance and risk standards.
• Draft and negotiate agreements related to the provision of administration services.
• Liaise with service teams to identify and address client service requirements.
• Assist senior lawyers in advising Citco, its affiliates and investment‑manager clients on cross‑border regulations affecting fund and SPV administration.
• Prepare legal reports for senior internal management as required.
• Provide legal support to Citco affiliate offices and coordinate with lawyers in other locations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience with a leading Irish or international law firm, or a mix of in‑house and law‑firm experience.
• Specialisation in investment fund formation (hedge funds, private equity, real estate) or a strong general corporate/financial services background.
• Understanding of common fund structures such as master‑feeders, unit trusts, limited partnerships and segregated portfolio companies.
• Knowledge of hedge, private equity and real‑estate jurisdictional structures, preferably in Ireland, the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands.
