About the role

The School of Psychology at the University of Galway seeks a full‑time, permanent Lecturer in Psychology to strengthen its Health and Wellbeing/Health Psychology portfolio. The successful candidate will join a nationally recognised hub for research and teaching in this area.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate teaching and MSc Health Psychology courses.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
• Contribute to programme leadership, curriculum development and administrative duties.
• Develop and lead research activities, including grant applications and collaborations.
• Maintain an active publication record in health‑related psychology.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent doctoral award in Psychology or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated research activity with publications at an internationally recognised level.
• Experience in securing research funding and building research networks.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and student supervision.
