About the role
UNSW Law & Justice is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to join the School of Private and Commercial Law. The position is full‑time (35 hours per week) on a continuing basis at the Kensington Campus, Sydney.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate (LLB) and postgraduate (JD, LLM) courses in private law areas such as equity & trusts, land & property, contracts and torts.
- Develop and maintain an active individual research programme and contribute to the school’s research culture.
- Engage in curriculum development, student supervision and academic service activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues on research projects, publications and external partnerships.
Required profile
- A PhD in Law or a closely related discipline (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated capacity for high‑quality research publications.
- Ability to teach effectively in one or more of the specified private law subjects.
- Commitment to the values of social justice, human rights and academic excellence.
