About the role
This senior, site‑based position leads all maintenance and asset‑care activities for a major pharmaceutical operation in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. The role focuses on equipment reliability, operational continuity and continuous improvement across a busy production facility.
Key responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and asset‑care programmes across the plant.
- Develop and implement proactive strategies to maximise equipment uptime.
- Manage preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance schedules.
- Support equipment reliability initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop a team of technicians and engineering staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Oversee CMMS administration, spare‑parts inventory and contractor coordination.
- Lead root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Control maintenance budgets, supplier relationships and external service providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audit/compliance activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership or engineering management experience.
- Background in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, industrial, food production or other regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.
- Engineering qualification or relevant technical education is advantageous.
