Global Operational Technology Engineer

About the role

PepsiCo’s Global Concentrate Business (PGCS) is seeking a Global Operational Technology Engineer to join its central engineering team in Cork. The role will drive the delivery, integration and sustainment of Operational Technology (OT) solutions across PGCS sites worldwide, ensuring reliable data exchange between automation and enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support MES batching projects from an automation and OT integration perspective.
• Configure, deploy and sustain AVEVA System Platform, OMI, InTouch and InBatch across multiple sites.
• Develop and maintain integration mechanisms between PLCs, System Platform and MES layers, including SQL‑based data handling and validation.
• Lead global migration, standardisation and template strategies for AVEVA implementations.
• Collaborate with system integrators and vendors to meet PGCS OT standards and cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide technical governance ensuring compliance with PepsiCo automation specifications, GAMP principles and industry best practice.
• Support incident management, troubleshooting and lifecycle sustainment of OT platforms.
• Contribute to OT cybersecurity readiness, including secure architecture and patching strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial automation and OT environments, preferably within a multinational manufacturing context.
• Strong understanding of MES, data integration and PLC communications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and external vendors.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
