Process Operator – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Cork, Ireland)

About the role

LEO Pharma Cork is seeking a Process Operator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support the production of heparin intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The role operates within a 24/5 shift schedule and requires strict adherence to cGMP, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production of heparin intermediates and APIs following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, Irish, EU and FDA regulations, including hygiene and controlled‑area protocols.
• Execute all stock transactions using the Stock Control System.
• Operate production equipment, valves, pumps, services and utilities.
• Prepare autoclave fittings, filter housings, container closures and sampling equipment.
• Perform cleaning, disinfection and upkeep of production areas.
• Handle receipt, labeling and storage of raw materials, including ethanol.
• Start‑up, shut‑down and run the ethanol distillation column.
• Control and calibrate effluent pH and maintain related logbooks.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and visual management initiatives.
