Manufacturing Technician

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician will install, set up, maintain and support automated equipment in a high‑volume production environment. You will work to ensure optimal performance, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot high‑speed automated assembly machines.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist with moving, installing, setting up and refurbishing equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
• Communicate potential capacity or quality issues to team leaders and relevant zones.
• Support Process Engineers in ongoing improvement projects.
• Contribute to efficiency projects through code upgrades.
• Meet performance targets and production deadlines while working independently.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent trade in electronics/mechanics.
• At least 2 years of experience as a technician in a high‑volume automated environment.
• Experience in medical devices or with medical device suppliers is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC devices.
• Understanding of electrical systems.
• Competence in electronics and mechanical troubleshooting.
