About the role
The Manufacturing Technician will install, set up, maintain and support automated equipment in a high‑volume production environment. You will work to ensure optimal performance, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help meet production targets.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and troubleshoot high‑speed automated assembly machines.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
- Assist with moving, installing, setting up and refurbishing equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
- Communicate potential capacity or quality issues to team leaders and relevant zones.
- Support Process Engineers in ongoing improvement projects.
- Contribute to efficiency projects through code upgrades.
- Meet performance targets and production deadlines while working independently.
Required profile
- Minimum Level 5 qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent trade in electronics/mechanics.
- At least 2 years of experience as a technician in a high‑volume automated environment.
- Experience in medical devices or with medical device suppliers is preferred.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC devices.
- Understanding of electrical systems.
- Competence in electronics and mechanical troubleshooting.
