Night Shift Quality Technician

About the role

Join Zimmer Biomet as a Night Shift Quality Technician, providing first‑level quality engineering support to production on a rotating 3/4‑day schedule of 12‑hour shifts. You will be the primary quality point of contact on the floor, ensuring compliance with GMP, QSR and FDA requirements while safeguarding product integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Dispose of non‑conforming lots promptly and in accordance with procedures.
• Assess product builders for certification readiness and support training.
• Analyze gauge calibration failures and implement corrective actions.
• Review first‑article lay‑outs and qualify new equipment with Engineering.
• Conduct test method validations for product acceptance.
• Monitor cleanroom conditions and respond to out‑of‑control events.
• Lead yellow‑belt teams to resolve quality compliance issues.
• Support site transformation projects and unscheduled maintenance impact analysis.

Required profile

• STEM degree (e.g., engineering, science).
• Previous experience in a quality‑focused role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, QSR and FDA regulations.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers and optical comparators.
• Experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Ability to work with spreadsheet software for production tracking.
• Understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection techniques.
