Operations Director – FMCG Supply Chain

About the role

The Operations Director will lead the supply chain and logistics function for a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) organisation. Reporting to the senior leadership team, the role is responsible for shaping operational capability, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the business can scale sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop high‑performing operational teams across logistics, supply chain and retail functions, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Design and execute operational plans aligned with corporate objectives, managing KPIs, reporting and performance monitoring.
• Oversee logistics networks and third‑party service providers, ensuring contractual compliance, service standards and cost efficiency.
• Manage operational budgets, monitor expenditure, and support financial planning to sustain long‑term profitability.
• Drive risk management, contingency planning and issue resolution to maintain operational continuity.
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives using data analytics, new technologies and process optimisation.

Required profile

• 3rd‑level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Senior operational leadership experience in logistics, supply chain, retail operations or FMCG.
• Proven track record of managing large teams and external partners.
• Experience working in regulated or compliance‑driven environments.
