Retail Depot Assistant

About the role

Certa Ireland is looking for a Retail Depot Assistant to help run its Clonmel depot smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for customers on the phone and at the counter, handling sales, payments and enquiries while supporting the Depot Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound and make outbound domestic calls for telesales and customer care.
• Process payments, take orders (domestic and bulk) and promote additional products such as HVO and Tesco Clubcard.
• Coordinate with sales representatives and drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform daily depot safety checks, report near‑misses and wear required PPE.
• Assist with credit‑control calls and support the Depot Supervisor in day‑to‑day operations.

• Customer‑focused attitude with a desire to exceed expectations.
• Flexible availability for weekdays and weekends.
• Strong communication skills, both over the phone and face‑to‑face.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telephone and point‑of‑sale systems.
