Senior Legal Counsel – Aircraft Leasing & Financing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our sizeable in‑house legal team, supporting aircraft leasing, financing and trading transactions. The role involves providing expert legal advice, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and guiding business teams on complex structures.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate transaction documents for aircraft leasing, financing and trading deals.
• Advise business units on transaction structures, documentation and compliance matters.
• Prepare briefs and instruct external counsel as required.
• Review commercial contracts related to day‑to‑day operations and support negotiations.
• Assist the department head in leading and coaching junior lawyers.
• Develop document templates, policies and procedures for various business teams.
• Support corporate approval processes, governance and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in Ireland, the UK, Hong Kong, Australia or Singapore.
• Minimum five years post‑qualification experience in aircraft leasing and financing, either at an international law firm, an aircraft leasing/trading entity, or a financial institution.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to draft concise and accurate legal documents.
• Commercially astute, energetic, capable of operating independently and leading projects.
