Specialist Registrar – Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Wexford)

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) Dublin and South East is recruiting a Specialist Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for a whole‑time post at Wexford General Hospital. This position is part of the public health service in the Dublin and South East health region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver obstetric and gynaecology clinical services to patients in a hospital setting.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and participate in on‑call duties.
• Contribute to the teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to HSE clinical policies.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent).
• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
• Demonstrated Irish clinical experience.
• English language proficiency verified by IELTS or OET.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Required skills

• Clinical competence in obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Effective communication in English.
• Familiarity with HSE clinical guidelines and procedures.
