Tax Specialist – Financial Services

About the role

Join PwC's Financial Services Tax practice as a Specialist, supporting corporate tax services for domestic and international clients. You will help clients meet tax obligations, manage working capital, and navigate complex tax regulations across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engagement letters, scopes of work, and statements of credentials.
• Assist in ROI preparation, online registrations, digital signatures, and filing of assessments, rectifications, and appeals before tax authorities.
• Update internal AML records and manage client/assignment acceptance documentation.
• Coordinate with clients on engagement letters and support associate follow‑ups for relationship‑manager formalities.
• Prepare and file PAN applications, liaise with NSDL and tax authorities for allotment.
• Respond to client queries and provide advisory/regulatory support.
• Build and maintain MIS databases for tax projects.
• Participate in Central Excise matters and prepare presentations on FPI tax and regulatory topics.
• Assist in training new joiners and monitor the PwC FII Mumbai email inbox.

Required profile

• Commerce or related graduate with 0‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of tax and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Direct Tax, Corporate Tax (Income Tax, DTAA), Corporate Law, International Tax, FEMA, and Transfer Pricing is advantageous.
