Electrical Training Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Training Coordinator to design, deliver and continuously improve training programmes for electricians and apprentices across our residential and commercial projects. You will create a learning environment that drives high‑quality electrical installation, safety compliance and a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the coordination and rollout of a comprehensive training programme covering all business sectors.
• Develop and deliver engaging, hands‑on training for skill levels ranging from first‑year apprentices to qualified electricians.
• Prepare training manuals, classroom workshops and other learning resources.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and mentorship of new apprentices.
• Promote site‑based mentorship between senior electricians and apprentices.
• Support the development of future foremen from within the existing electrician team.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, identify skills gaps and implement improvements.
• Coordinate site safety and compliance training with senior staff.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and learning across the team.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience delivering training and development programmes in an industrial or construction environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and flexibility to adjust training plans as needed.
• Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
• High level of planning, organisational and time‑management capability.
• Approachable and supportive of individual training needs.
• Relevant training qualifications (e.g., QQI Level 6, Train‑the‑Trainer) are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Google Sheets.
