GCP DevOps Engineer (Remote, Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned GCP DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic technology consulting team. In this remote‑first position, you will design, build, and optimise cloud‑native infrastructure for a variety of client projects, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure, reliable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery.
• Containerise applications with Docker and manage Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and incident‑response processes.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to enforce cloud‑security best practices and control costs.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of DevOps experience with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Relevant DevOps or Google Cloud certifications are a plus.
