Accounting Instructor (AI Training)

About the role

Alignerr (powered by Labelbox) is looking for experienced accounting instructors to train and evaluate AI systems that reason about accounting principles and financial reporting. The work is fully remote, on an hourly contract basis, with a commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated accounting questions, explanations and financial reasoning for accuracy and clarity.
• Assess the correctness of concepts such as financial statements, bookkeeping, internal controls and managerial accounting.
• Identify errors, edge cases and misleading or incomplete explanations.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI output quality and precision.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience teaching accounting at the postsecondary level.
• Strong command of both financial and managerial accounting principles.
• Able to critically evaluate written quantitative and rule-based reasoning.
• Comfortable reviewing structured content at scale with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and reliable, able to meet project deadlines independently.

Nice to have

• CPA designation or a Master's degree in Accounting.
• Experience with audits, financial analysis or applied accounting practice.
• Familiarity with AI systems or model evaluation workflows.
