Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Children’s Neurology

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Children's) to join the Children’s Neurology team at Cork University Hospital. This permanent, full‑time position is open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants and is based in the Wilton campus.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to paediatric neurology patients, including assessment, diagnosis and management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Prescribe medication and order investigations within the scope of practice.
• Educate patients, families and junior staff on neurological conditions and treatments.
• Participate in clinical audits, research activities and continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate in Ireland.
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent experience in paediatric neurology.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
