About the role

The Pharmacy Department of Mater Misericordiae Hospital is seeking an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist to work in the dispensary. You will play a key part in delivering safe, efficient pharmaceutical services to patients, supporting the department’s mission to improve patient quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Source, acquire, purchase, store, formulate, compound and distribute all medicines used in the hospital.
• Ensure all processes meet the highest safety and quality standards.
• Provide expert advice on the safe, effective and rational use of drugs.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to optimise medication therapy for patients.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with a valid license to practice.
• Significant experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of drug compounding and formulation techniques.
• Expertise in dispensing and medication distribution processes.
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and inventory management.
