Agency Staff Nurse – Dublin

About the role

Emerald Nursing is seeking experienced Registered General Nurses to work on an agency basis across Dublin's leading private hospitals, HSE teaching hospitals, national specialist centres and care groups. You will enjoy flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work in a variety of respected clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care in acute, community or specialist environments.
• Follow clinical protocols, maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, matrons and allied health professionals.
• Adapt to varied shift patterns, including day, night, weekend and bank holiday work.
• Comply with mandatory training, Garda vetting and occupational health requirements.

Required profile

• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
• Minimum six months of recent clinical experience within the Irish healthcare system.
• Strong clinical references and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Up‑to‑date mandatory training.
• Garda vetting and occupational health clearance (arranged by Emerald Nursing).

Required skills

• Clinical nursing competence in acute and specialist settings.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns.
• Familiarity with Irish healthcare standards and documentation.
