Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in molecular plant science.
• Supervise Master’s and PhD students.
• Develop and sustain an independent research programme aligned with the university’s research strategy.
• Collaborate with national and international partners and affiliate with research institutes where appropriate.
• Publish research findings in internationally recognised journals.

• Salary range for Assistant Professor / Lecturer: €65,401 (public sector pay scale, 7 points).
• Salary range for Assistant Lecturer: €42,599 – €72,718 per annum (14 points).
