Associate Director – Pharmacology (Drug Development)

About the role

Grifols is seeking an Associate Director, Pharmacology to lead non‑clinical and early clinical pharmacology strategy across its drug development programs. You will provide expertise in PK/PD, modeling & simulation, and Model‑Informed Drug Development (MIDD) to support dose selection, study design, and regulatory submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead PK/PD data analysis and mechanistic/population modeling using Phoenix WinNonlin, NONMEM, and related tools.
• Apply quantitative and statistical methods to support non‑clinical and early‑phase clinical pharmacology programs.
• Contribute to regulatory interactions and submissions (INDs, BLAs, MAAs, Investigator’s Brochures, briefing packages).
• Communicate complex pharmacology concepts to cross‑functional and external stakeholders.
• Provide scientific leadership in matrixed teams, driving strategy, problem‑solving, and decision‑making.
• Design and implement pharmacology plans, oversee protocol and SAP development, and ensure best practices.
• Mentor junior scientists and stay current with scientific literature and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD) or PharmD, or post‑doctoral experience in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 + years of industry or academic experience supporting PK/PD and broader pharmacology projects.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with clinicians, statisticians, and regulatory teams.
