About the role

The School of Health Sciences seeks an Associate Professor (Level D) to provide academic and research leadership across allied health disciplines. The role combines high‑quality teaching, curriculum development and the coordination of research‑focused learning experiences, while fostering a strong partnership with the South‑Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD).

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver and develop teaching for nutrition, dietetics, pharmacy, exercise science, exercise physiology and physiotherapy programmes.
  • Supervise higher degree research students, post‑doctoral fellows and early‑career academics.
  • Lead collaborative, applied and translational research projects with SESLHD, aligning with health service priorities.
  • Secure competitive research funding and publish impactful, peer‑reviewed work.
  • Contribute to school, faculty and university governance and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

  • PhD in an allied health discipline (e.g., dietetics, pharmacy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy).
  • Registration with AHPRA or accreditation by the relevant professional body.
  • Established national/international research reputation with a track record of funding success.
  • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and research translation.

    • Academic Level D remuneration of $193,354 plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.
    • Full‑time, 35‑hour week on the Kensington Campus.
