Audit Accountant – Killarney

About the role

Our client, a well‑established accountancy practice in Killarney, is seeking an ambitious Audit Accountant to join their experienced team. This permanent role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of audit, accounting, taxation and advisory engagements while benefiting from hybrid working options.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and complete audit assignments for a broad range of clients.
• Prepare audit files and ensure compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards.
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation, identifying audit risks and recommending practical solutions.
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain information and address queries.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Support senior management on client engagements and business advisory projects.
• Ensure assignments are delivered within agreed deadlines and budgets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting, auditing and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified, or nearing qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in audit practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
