About the role
Lilly is building a next‑generation biotech drug substance manufacturing facility in Limerick and seeks an intern to join the automation department during the start‑up phase. You will gain hands‑on experience with process automation, control systems and validation activities while supporting the qualification of equipment and processes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with process automation activities during the facility start‑up.
- Support Process Support Qualification (PSQ) tasks, including equipment capability demonstrations and unit operation studies.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a BSc program in Automation, Process, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
- Available to start in January for an 8‑month placement.
Required skills
- Understanding of process automation concepts.
- Familiarity with process control and validation activities.
