AWS Cloud Engineer – 6‑Month Contract (Hybrid, Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer for an initial six‑month contract in Dublin, working in a hybrid model. You will join a multidisciplinary team to design, automate, and deploy scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure and network configuration, automation, and deployment for AWS environments.
• Replace manual operating processes with scripts and applications, driving efficiency.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and automation tools in AWS.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) solutions and testable infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Create metrics and monitoring scripts to demonstrate performance and operational efficiency.
• Design self‑repairing, self‑healing automated systems management solutions.
• Collaborate with App DevOps teams across an international context to test and deliver results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and creating JSON templates.
• Proficiency with Linux, AWS services, Windows Server, and database technologies.
• Experience using configuration management tools, preferably Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI tools like Bamboo and Jenkins, and build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Gradle.
• Background in automation using a CI/CD toolchain that includes JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, Packer, Docker, and SonarQube.
• Experience deploying containerised applications with Docker and orchestrating them using Kubernetes.
