AWS Engineer – 6 Month Contract (Hybrid, Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking an AWS Engineer on an initial six‑month contract (with a view to extension) to join a multinational professional services firm in Dublin. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while delivering automated, cloud‑native infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure and network configuration, automation, and deployment solutions on AWS.
• Replace large‑scale manual operating processes with scripted applications and IaC.
• Build and support CI/CD automation pipelines in AWS.
• Develop testable, infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, CloudFormation and related tools.
• Create metrics and monitoring scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Design self‑repairing, self‑healing automated management systems.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with App DevOps teams in an international environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and JSON templates.
• Proficiency with Linux, AWS services, Windows Server and database platforms.
• Experience using configuration‑management tools, preferably Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins, and build tools like Ant, Maven or Gradle.
• Background in automation using a CI/CD toolchain (JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, Packer, Docker, SonarQube).
• Experience deploying containerised workloads with Docker and orchestrating them via Kubernetes.
