Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our expanding Contract Logistics division in Ireland. You will own new‑business generation while nurturing a select portfolio of existing clients, helping to accelerate growth across the Irish market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new business opportunities within the logistics sector.
• Build strong pipelines through networking, client meetings and consultative selling.
• Manage and develop relationships with a small base of existing customers.
• Understand client requirements and deliver tailored logistics solutions.
• Prepare and present proposals, tenders and commercial offers.
• Work cross‑functionally with operational teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform strategy.
• Contribute to team success through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven success in business development or sales, preferably within logistics, supply chain or contract logistics.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to win and grow business.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.
• Full clean driver’s licence and flexibility to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and sales performance.
