Business Development Manager – Nationwide

About the role

As a Business Development Manager at eir, you will lead the acquisition of new Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers across Ireland. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will use consultative, face‑to‑face selling to grow the company’s market presence and support the purpose of “Connecting for a better Ireland.”

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and win new SME customers within an assigned territory.
• Build and execute structured action plans to expand market coverage.
• Develop trusted relationships from first contact through to point of sale.
• Deliver professional, personalised customer experiences and face‑to‑face presentations.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and quality KPIs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of competitor activity, market trends and eir product portfolio.
• Accurately record activity and sales data in internal systems and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven success in sales or business development, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Strong communication, presentation and objection‑handling skills.
• Highly target‑driven with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and able to work independently while contributing to a team culture.
• Full, clean Irish or EU driving licence.

• €36,000 basic salary plus €1,820 annual lunch allowance.
