Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer will manage supplier relationships and purchasing activities to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of components for manufacturing operations. You will act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external suppliers, supporting production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full supplier lifecycle: issue RFQs, place purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and handle returns.
• Address non‑conformances promptly and coordinate inbound logistics with suppliers.
• Review Incoterms (EXW, DDP/DAP) to optimise cost, delivery performance and risk.
• Identify and qualify new or alternative suppliers to mitigate supply disruptions.
• Support supplier audits, benchmarking and dual‑sourcing strategies.
• Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and participate in production planning meetings.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system and ensure data integrity.
• Contribute to process‑improvement projects and communicate obsolescence risks to planning and engineering.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively, manage multiple priorities and support cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP or procurement software systems.
