Lead Technician

About the role

The Lead Technician will support new product development by executing process development tasks, focusing on manufacturing, metallurgy systems and technical documentation. This onsite, 23‑month fixed‑term role is based at Stryker's Cork facility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for new process introductions and ensure documentation follows Stryker NPD procedures.
• Support Project and Process Engineers with manufacturing and inspection process flows, DOE, DFM/DFI activities.
• Manage equipment installation, qualification, validation and assist with new equipment identification.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, maintenance and health‑safety procedures.
• Support 3D‑printing prototyping, including CAD file preparation, STL conversion, printer operation and post‑processing.
• Collaborate with Quality to ensure validation and product introduction documentation is accurate and timely.
• Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation for product transfers.

Required profile

• Experience in a production environment machining components from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Tool making or engineering qualification with precision machining experience.
• Ability to program, set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of work‑holding, tooling, speeds and feeds, and quality awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
