Careers Consultant – Student & Graduate Services

About the role

The Careers Consultant will lead the delivery of specialist careers education, information and guidance for undergraduate and postgraduate students and recent graduates at Trinity College Dublin. Working closely with academic schools and disciplines, the role ensures that career services are tailored to the specific needs of each cohort, preparing them for the future workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver career‑focused workshops, modules and resources for students and graduates.
• Manage and strengthen relationships between the Careers Service and designated schools or disciplines.
• Analyse student and graduate needs to customise career support programmes.
• Provide one‑to‑one guidance and advice on career planning, job search strategies and professional development.
• Monitor labour‑market trends and embed emerging skills into career curricula.

Required profile

• Proven experience in career guidance, employability services or related higher‑education roles.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and resolve complex problems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
