Category Marketing Manager – Beauty & Living

About the role

Brown Thomas Arnotts is looking for an experienced, commercially‑driven Category Marketing Manager to lead the marketing strategy for its beauty and living categories. The role blends strategic thinking, creativity and commercial acumen, working closely with buying, operations and digital teams to deliver compelling campaigns that engage customers and drive brand performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution of marketing and communication campaigns across key categories.
• Own the master trade‑marketing calendar to deliver inspiring customer experiences.
• Partner with internal stakeholders – Buying, Operations, Multichannel, Finance – to meet category objectives.
• Brief and manage internal creative, digital and media teams to produce best‑in‑class content.
• Oversee relationships with brand partners, media and creative agencies, ensuring commercial alignment.
• Manage the category marketing budget, tracking ROI and business‑goal alignment.
• Execute key events, launches and activations across store, digital and PR touchpoints.
• Use CRM data and insights to shape targeted communications and improve engagement.
• Analyse performance metrics and customer data to evaluate campaign success and inform future planning.
• Benchmark competitor activity and global best practice to continuously innovate the customer experience.
• Drive retail media strategy, liaising with brand partners to commercialise marketing sites and generate revenue growth.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing or commercial role, preferably within retail.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to maximise campaign performance.
