Chemical Production & Laboratory Technician

About the role

This position combines hands‑on laboratory analysis with chemical manufacturing support in a small‑scale production environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will contribute to product quality, process improvement and day‑to‑day plant operations while gaining exposure to water and wastewater treatment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the Manufacturing Process Unit.
• Manufacture chemical products following company procedures.
• Carry out quality control testing and product release checks.
• Perform routine laboratory testing of water and wastewater samples.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support for assigned production processes.
• Assist with plant maintenance, housekeeping and accurate record‑keeping.
• Operate production equipment, including forklift and bobcat (training provided if required).
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related scientific discipline.
• Practical chemistry qualification (Level 6 or above).
• Previous laboratory experience.
• Strong interest in water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments.
• Self‑motivated with good organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
