Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel Coach

About the role
Mento is seeking experienced senior legal leaders to join its coaching team. As a Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel Coach, you will mentor members one‑on‑one, helping them set goals, improve leadership, and thrive in their careers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 virtual coaching sessions using the Mento platform.
- Participate in ongoing ICF‑certified coach training and skill‑development workshops.
- Maintain communication with members via email and the Mento app between sessions.
- Contribute coaching tools and insights to the broader Mento coaching community.
- Represent Mento with kindness, respect, and empathy.
Required profile
- Current or former General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, or senior legal executive with 20+ years of experience, preferably in technology or tech‑adjacent companies.
- Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor individuals; coaching certification is a plus.
- Strong emotional intelligence, self‑awareness, and a commitment to creating safe, supportive coaching spaces.
- Growth‑mindset and willingness to develop coaching expertise.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑changing startup environment.
- Available to dedicate at least 12 hours per month for a minimum of 24 months.
