Commercial Director – Strategic Growth & Partnerships

About the role

This senior leadership position is responsible for shaping and executing the commercial growth strategy for the Irish market of a global technology‑enabled solutions provider. The role requires a commercially driven leader with a proven ability to win major contracts, build strategic partnerships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a commercial growth strategy tailored to the Irish market.
• Drive revenue through strategic account acquisition, market expansion and new business development.
• Identify, pursue and secure high‑value contracts and partnership opportunities.
• Lead complex negotiations, tenders and contract discussions at executive level.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams to meet commercial objectives.
• Analyse market trends and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with key clients and partners.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing commercial team.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience in commercial, sales or business development leadership.
• Track record of securing high‑value contracts and delivering revenue growth.
• Established network across Ireland’s retail, pharmacy, FMCG or commercial sectors.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles and engaging senior decision‑makers.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence at board and executive level.
• Experience in multinational or matrix‑led organisations is a plus.
