Customer Service Assistant – Retail Betting Shop

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our retail betting shop in Hartstown. You will deliver a friendly, knowledgeable experience to customers while supporting the Shop Manager in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day‑to‑day shop operations.
• Open and close the shop, including cash management and security procedures.
• Accept and process customer bets via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Maintain high shop presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and responsible gambling policies.
• Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to in‑shop and online betting products.
• Step in to lead the team in the absence of senior managers, guiding staff and handling cash.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Flexible to work a 7‑day schedule and adapt to a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in sport and betting, with a desire to build rapport with customers.
• Trustworthy, with a proven approach to cash handling.

Required skills

• Experience using EPOS systems.
• Operation of betting terminals.
