Customer Service Assistant – Retail Betting Shop

About the role

You will deliver an outstanding customer experience in a fast‑paced retail betting environment. Working closely with the Shop Manager, you will help keep the store running smoothly while providing friendly, knowledgeable service to every visitor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with daily store operations.
• Open and close the shop, including cash management and security procedures.
• Accept and process customer bets via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Maintain high shop presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory procedures.
• Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to multi‑channel and digital betting options.
• Step in to lead the team in the absence of senior managers.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with a trustworthy and integrity‑driven attitude.
• Flexible to work a 7‑day schedule and adapt to a dynamic shop environment.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy and cash‑handling skills.
• Enthusiastic, people‑focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in sport events and the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Ambitious, results‑driven and eager to progress within the company.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPOS systems.
