Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer on a six‑month contract to support the migration to cloud and drive security innovation across its next‑generation trading, risk and analytics platforms. The role is fully onsite in Ireland and will work closely with development teams to deliver secure, high‑performance systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to understand and implement system security requirements.
• Design, develop and maintain deployment pipelines that enable faster, data‑informed decision‑making.
• Support OS technical issues, systems programming and data‑center capabilities.
• Work with large, complex data sets to meet functional and non‑functional specifications.
• Define and improve processes for system transformation, quality controls, dependency and workload management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in information security.
• Strong hands‑on experience with industry‑standard SSO technologies and protocols.
• Proven Java development experience.
• Exposure to cloud environments.
