Cybersecurity Architect – Contract (Hybrid, Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to shape and drive enterprise security architecture for a complex global organisation. This contract role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the Dublin office, and involves partnering with senior technology and business leaders to design secure, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise cybersecurity architecture and strategy.
• Lead security design and assurance for cloud, AI, and Operational Technology (OT) initiatives.
• Produce and review architecture artefacts such as ROMs, HLDs, and BRDs.
• Assess solution designs, identify security risks, and recommend pragmatic, business‑aligned controls.
• Establish and maintain cybersecurity standards, policies, and best practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, balancing security, risk, and business outcomes.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5‑10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or enterprise architecture within a large, complex organisation.
• Proven track record designing secure enterprise and multi‑cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, AI security, and OT security.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews, security risk assessments, and producing architecture documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to engage at technical and executive levels.
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, business‑focused approach to security.
