Data & BI Engineer

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing financial services organisation, is looking for a Data & BI Engineer to join a high‑performing technology team. You will design and deliver scalable data pipelines and BI solutions that enable data‑driven decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and data models for reporting and analytics.
• Analyse system logs and datasets to troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues.
• Develop and enhance BI visualisations and reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with Product, QA and DevOps teams to deliver robust data solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Document technical solutions, workflows and processes.
• Support the creation of internal tools and automation to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex query development and performance optimisation.
• Proven experience with data warehousing, data modelling and ETL/ELT processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience working with large‑scale datasets in a financial services environment is a plus.
