Database & Software Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Database & Software Development Engineer to support and enhance our ERP, database and integration landscape. The role combines SQL Server administration, ERP support, automation and software development in a hands‑on environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning, backups and security.
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures and SSRS reports.
• Support and enhance Epicor ERP through customisation, reporting and integrations.
• Create automation scripts using PowerShell.
• Develop applications and APIs using C#, Java, JavaScript or VB.NET.
• Design, deliver and maintain REST integrations across systems.
• Support development activities with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.

Required profile

• Strong experience with SQL Server as both DBA and developer.
• Proficiency in SQL optimisation, reporting and scripting.
• Experience building PowerShell automation.
• Development background in C#, Java or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Azure tools.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
