Design Coordinator – Construction Projects

About the role

John Paul Construction is seeking a Design Coordinator to join its Dublin team. The role will support the delivery of construction projects by managing the flow of architectural and engineering information and ensuring seamless coordination between site teams, consultants and utility providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the setting‑out of projects, coordinating architectural and engineering data with the site team.
• Co‑ordinate utilities and services between mechanical, electrical engineers and external utility providers.
• Prepare and maintain the schedule of information requirements and forward updates to architects/engineers.
• Oversee the technical submittal process, tracking status against the contract programme and reporting progress.
• Maintain a procurement tracking schedule linked to approved submittals and cost approvals.
• Promptly record and resolve all contract queries in an efficient manner.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Design Manager or Coordinator on commercial, residential, data‑centre or industrial projects.
• Relevant third‑level qualification in Engineering or Architecture.
• Previous experience with a main contractor is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Ability to self‑manage, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills with colleagues and clients.
