Desktop Support Technician

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver hardware and software support for employees and new hires across multiple offices. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, asset management, and ensuring a seamless end‑user experience in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Image, install, and configure Windows and Apple laptops/desktops, including iMacs.
• Troubleshoot post‑deployment issues on Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
• Provide printer break‑fix, installation, and disposal services.
• Coordinate shipping, hardware refresh, warranty repairs, and out‑of‑warranty replacements.
• Manage depot operations, spare parts inventory, and VDI first‑level support.
• Deliver executive (VIP) support and audio/video health checks.
• Maintain inventory and asset records, including tagging and system entry.
• Generate weekly physical inventory and equipment outflow reports.
• Collaborate with external vendors and cross‑functional teams for onboarding and repairs.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of IT support experience.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to adapt quickly.
• Willingness to travel up to 150 miles between offices.
