Developer Experience & Engineering Operations Lead

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to shape the Developer Experience and Engineering Operations function for a global technology and AI‑driven organisation. In this role you will drive productivity, standardisation and innovation across a large‑scale software engineering ecosystem, partnering with architecture, cloud, platform and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a Developer Experience and Engineering Operations strategy across multiple regions.
• Identify and implement improvements to engineering productivity, workflow efficiency and delivery friction.
• Establish engineering standards, reusable frameworks, best‑practice playbooks and delivery guidelines.
• Collaborate with architecture, cloud, platform and engineering leaders to enhance software delivery processes and tooling.
• Lead AI‑enabled engineering initiatives, automation, CI/CD optimisation and developer tooling adoption.
• Design and deliver enablement programmes such as workshops, communities of practice and onboarding frameworks.
• Develop measurement frameworks to track productivity, delivery effectiveness and developer satisfaction.
• Support leadership with governance, operational reporting and strategic transformation.

Required profile

• Significant experience in software, platform, DevOps, SRE, architecture or engineering operations environments.
• Proven track record of improving developer productivity, engineering standards or delivery effectiveness.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence engineering, product and business leaders.
• Data‑driven approach to process improvement and operational decision‑making.
• Excellent communication, leadership and change‑management capabilities.

• Competitive salary €112,000 – €128,000 per year plus a 15% annual bonus.
