DevOps Engineer – Build CI/CD & Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design and build the infrastructure that powers cutting‑edge scientific computing for a fast‑growing deep‑tech company at the intersection of AI and pharmaceutical innovation. You will create self‑hosted CI/CD pipelines, orchestrate containerised workloads and deliver observability solutions that enable rapid, safe experimentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain self‑hosted CI/CD systems that developers love to use.
• Orchestrate Docker/Podman workloads across distributed clusters.
• Build observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, alerting) for real‑time system insight.
• Own infrastructure‑as‑code and automation from day one using tools such as Ansible.
• Collaborate directly with R&D teams and leadership to scale architecture.
• Foster an environment where innovation can move faster and safer.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE roles.
• Comfortable working with Docker, Podman or similar container ecosystems.
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Infrastructure‑as‑code experience, preferably with Ansible.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting abilities.
• Python proficiency for automation and tooling.
• Self‑starter mindset able to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
