DevOps Engineer – Build Infrastructure for AI Drug Discovery

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer who will design and build the infrastructure that powers large‑scale simulation and AI‑driven drug discovery. This is a green‑field role where you will create systems from scratch rather than maintain existing ones.

Key responsibilities

• Build containerised environments using Docker or Podman and orchestrate multi‑service stacks with Docker Compose or Swarm.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Develop automation and tooling for engineering and R&D teams.
• Work deep in Linux – systemd, networking, shell scripting and debugging.
• Support compute‑intensive scientific and AI workloads.

Required profile

• Proven experience building infrastructure with Docker (not just running containers).
• Strong background designing CI/CD pipelines from the ground up.
• Solid Linux fundamentals, including shell scripting, networking and systemd.
• Track record of delivering infrastructure projects independently.

Required skills

• Docker / Podman
• Docker Compose / Swarm
• GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins
• Linux systemd, networking, shell scripting
• Python (for automation – nice to have)
• Prometheus, Grafana (observability – nice to have)
• Ansible or similar IaC tools (nice to have)
