DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & QA Automation

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance client on a large‑scale transformation programme. The role focuses on building resilient CI/CD infrastructure, automating testing, and ensuring reliable deployments across critical enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Create and manage automated smoke, integration, performance, and security tests within the release lifecycle.
• Implement automated rollback and failover procedures to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose build failures and drive remediation.
• Support continuous improvement of deployment automation, testing standards, and release quality.
• Prepare weekly system demos covering infrastructure health, performance benchmarks, and security metrics.
• Contribute to best‑practice documentation for DevOps, QA automation, and release engineering.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering, and QA/testing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Proactive ownership mindset with a focus on automation and platform resilience.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Version control systems (Git).
• Automated testing frameworks for integration and infrastructure testing.
• Scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Cloud infrastructure concepts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Experience troubleshooting deployment failures.
