DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & QA Automation

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance client to drive a large‑scale transformation programme. The DevOps / QA Engineer will own the design, implementation and continuous improvement of resilient CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment reliability across critical enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build, optimise and maintain robust CI/CD infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automated smoke, integration, performance and security tests within the deployment lifecycle.
• Design automated rollback and failover procedures to minimise downtime.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify build failures and drive remediation.
• Support continuous improvement of automation, testing standards and release quality.
• Prepare weekly system demonstrations covering infrastructure health, performance benchmarks and security metrics.
• Contribute to best‑practice documentation for DevOps, QA automation and release engineering.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering and QA/testing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Proactive ownership mindset with a focus on automation and platform resilience.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Deployment automation and version control workflows.
• Automated testing frameworks for integration and infrastructure testing.
• Scripting for reusable automation and verification (e.g., Bash, Python).
