DevOps Engineer – IBM WebMethods & Cloud Automation

About the role

The Release and Environment Management team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to operate, maintain, and evolve integration and application platforms. You will focus on ensuring stable environments, smooth deployments, strong automation practices, and continuous improvement across both non‑production and production landscapes, primarily using the IBM WebMethods integration platform.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM WebMethods components (Integration Server, Deployer, API Gateway).
• Manage build and release processes and environment configurations across multiple tiers.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and QA teams.
• Provide operational support: monitor performance, handle upgrades, patching, security, access controls, clustering, tuning, incident troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Drive automation improvements and continuous enhancement of release processes.
• Support occasional application releases or urgent incidents during evenings and weekends.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in release management, SRE, or DevOps engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in DevOps, Linux Administration, CI/CD, or Azure are desirable.
• Experience working in regulated or governed environments is a plus.
• Strong mindset for continuous improvement and high‑quality operational support.

• Containerisation with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Version control and scripting: Git, Bash, Python.
• Configuration management and automation: Ansible.
• Tooling: Jira, Bitbucket, Datadog.
• Operating systems: Windows and Linux (RHEL).
• CI/CD platforms: Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• API technologies: REST, SOAP, messaging concepts.
• Cloud: Microsoft Azure.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform.
• Java development background (optional).
