Director, Product Building

About the role

Camunda is seeking a Director, Product Building to lead its newly created Camunda Experience sub‑division. This fully remote, global role will shape the AI‑first product development model that sits on top of Camunda’s orchestration platform, delivering the next generation of the Camunda Hub and AI‑native builder experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a ~25‑person sub‑division, including three Pod Leads, and own the business outcomes of the entire experience layer (Hub, Clients/SDKs, AI‑native builder, AI skills, orchestration web apps).
• Establish and operationalise the Builder operating model, enabling small pods to ship features in days rather than months.
• Set strategy and organisational design for the domain, partnering closely with Strategy Product Managers on long‑term direction.
• Own AI‑first production‑line engineering across all pods to ensure a coherent, high‑throughput product pipeline.
• Deliver the first generation of products, starting with a revised Camunda Hub and the AI‑native builder experience.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience overseeing product, design, and engineering teams.
• Track record of building high‑throughput, AI‑focused product development processes.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to define and execute product roadmaps.
• Experience working in remote, globally distributed environments.
